Help Grassfire Spread The Word on Illegal Immigration

We're Keeping "Score" On Border Security!

The illegal immigration crisis is the most important domestic issue facing our nation.  This is why Grassfire.org has compiled the 2006 Official Congressional Immigration Scorecard.

How to use this Scorecard

Grassfire's research team identified the key immigration and border security votes from the 109th Congress and rated each Senator and Representative - more than 5,800 votes in all - based on whether the Congressman's vote agreed or disagreed with Grassfire's border security position. Based on those tallied votes we were able to "rate" their position. A legislator receiving 100 percent agreed with Grassfire.org's position on every immigration vote scored.

You select scores in five different views from the "control panel" on the top right of the Interactive Scorecard.

The list is displayed in alphabetic order by congressman's last name.  You can re-sort the list by State, Member, Part, or by the Grassfire Score simply by clicking on the column heading link.  You can see the voting records of every member in Congress for a specific state by clicking on the state abbreviation in the left column.

Scores for every Member and every State!

The scorecard is based on the "Issues" documented by Grassfire.  The issue page provides a brief description of the bill, the vote, and Grassfire.org's position. Voting records in each section of the Scorecard are listed corresponding to the issue number. Using the Interactive Scorecard, you can see how your state ranks on the Grassfire Border Security Scale, or the rank of your Senator or Representative.

Finally, we encourage you to use this information to help you exercise your citizenship responsibilities -- sign petitions, write letters, make phone calls and personal visits. Most of all, be sure to vote for those who are representing your values in securing our nation's borders.
