Grassfire To Rally 1,000,000 Citizens In Support Of The Pledge of Allegiance!

Blockbuster Federal Court ruling sparks a major grassroots initiative to protect the Pledge of Allegiance.

CHESAPEAKE, VA —Hours after a 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the century old Pledge of Allegiance was unconstitutional because of the words “In God We Trust,” Grassfire, one of the nation’s leading online grassroots citizen activist organizations, launched its national  “I Support the Pledge” petition drive.

The goal of this drive is to gather 1,000,000 signed petitions by July 4th, from citizens throughout the nation—urging members of the House, and the President to reverse this disturbing ruling.

Grassfire is set deliver the petitions to the House and to the President in a strong showing of solidarity for the Pledge of Allegiance.

According to Steve Elliott, President of Grassfire, “We simply cannot ignore the fact that our nation was founded on principles of faith. And when these principles come under attack, it is imperative that Americans rally and fight to protect what we as a nation hold dear.”

“As a nation,” he says, “we seem bent on banishing God from every aspect of our lives—from school, work, and public places. This is a very dangerous course that we’ve chosen, and one that I fear, may be leading us to the brink of destruction.”

One of the nation’s fastest growing citizen activist organizations, Grassfire has been offering real impact, real feedback and real results to hundreds of thousands of people from across the nation and around the world on critical issues of the day.
