"TERRI SCHIAVO SHOULD LIVE” SAY
VALUES VOTERS IN NATIONAL POLL
58% of Values Voters Oppose Michael Schiavo’s
Efforts To Terminate His Wife’s Life

PRESS RELEASE:

March 17, 2005 –– Fifty-eight percent of Values Voters nationwide support Terri Schiavo’s right to life, according to a national poll released by Grassfire.org.

“Values Voters oppose Michael Schiavo’s efforts to terminate Terri’s life,” says Steve Elliott, President of Grassfire.org which commissioned the poll. “This is important to consider as Florida’s courts get ready to begin the forced starvation of Terri.”

The survey was conducted February 27-28 as part of the periodic national Grassfire Tracking Poll. The survey question stated, “Should Terri Schiavo’s husband be allowed to end Terri’s life by having the gastric tube providing her food and water removed?” 58% percent of those responding do not believe Michael Schiavo should be allowed to end Terri’s life.

This national scientific telephone survey of 13,904 Values Voters was conducted February 27-28 and commissioned by Grassfire.org. "Values Voters" defined and selected from national database based on prior indication of support for President Bush and one-man, one-woman marriage. Margin of sampling error is +/- 1.09 percent with a 99% level of confidence. For complete results of this Values Voter poll, visit Grassfire.org.
