Hollywood to “Get The Picture”
HOLLYWOOD,
Calif., Mar. 18 /U.S. Newswire/ -- With America’s troops on the verge of war, a
grassroots coalition representing hundreds of thousands of citizens today placed
a Billboard adjacent to the site of the Academy Awards urging Hollywood to “Get
The Picture” that America supports the action in Iraq.
“In this time
of war, we are hopeful that Hollywood will ‘Get The Picture’ that it is time to
unite together in support of our nation and our troops,” says Mr. Steve Elliott,
President of Grassfire, one of the nation’s fastest growing grassroots
organizations representing more than one million people.
The billboard,
located on
Highland Ave. in Hollywood across
from the Kodak Theatre, first appeared today (March 18, 2003) as part of a
larger Grassfire online and media campaign designed to show support for our
President and our troops. “Our troops need to feel our support,” says Mr.
Elliott. “Hollywood can send a strong message to the world
of a united
America on Oscars night.”
