Billboard Campaign Urging Hollywood
to “Get The Picture” Gains Momentum
HOLLYWOOD,
Calif., Mar. 19 /U.S. Newswire/ -- A
grassroots effort designed to send a strong message to Hollywood on the eve of
the Academy Awards is gaining momentum.
On
Friday, March 21, 2003, nationally syndicated talk show host Sean Hannity
featured
Grassfire’s
“Hollywood Get The Picture” billboard campaign. The billboard first appeared
earlier this week across from the Kodak Theatre in
Hollywood (site of the
75th annual Academy Awards).
“We hope
Hollywood honors
America this
weekend on their biggest day,” says Mr.
Steve Elliott, President of
Grassfire which
represents more than one million citizens. “This billboard represents the
sentiments of the vast majority of Americans who appreciate the greatness of our
entertainment industry but do not want to see Hollywood undermine our President
and our troops – especially on Oscars night.”
The billboard campaign is part of a larger effort that has delivered over
200,000 “I Support The Commander In Chief” petitions to Washington, D.C.,
leaders and spread the “Support Our Troops message to thousands more. To view
the billboard, or for additional
information, visit grassfire.
Grassfire is one
of the nation’s fastest growing grassroots organizations, representing more than
