ONLINE TRIBUTE GIVES CITIZENS A CHANCE TO HONOR PRESIDENT REAGAN
Personal Tributes to be Bound and Presented to the Reagan
Library
Washington, DC – To honor the passing of former President Ronald Reagan,
Grassfire.org, an online conservative issues advocacy organization, is paying
tribute to the former American leader by offering citizens the chance to
communicate their condolences directly to the Reagan family.
Those wishing to pay personal tribute to former President Reagan can do so by
visiting www.grassfire.org and submitting a short personal message that will be
delivered to the Reagan Library by Grassfire.org. Once complete, the entire
collection of tributes will be published in a
hard-bound volume that will be delivered to the Reagan family and the Library.
“President Reagan was a man whose strength of character, love of freedom, faith
in God and confidence in the American dream helped restore our nation to
greatness,” said Grassfire.org President Steve Elliott. “We want our supporters
to have a chance to pay their respects in their
own words and to be a part of a united show of support for the Reagan family.”
As Mr. W. Cheney wrote, “God bless you Mrs. Reagan in your loss and time of
sorrow. President Reagan's passing is also a terrible loss to our great nation.
We look forward to seeing the President, as we know you do, one day again, with
our Lord in Heaven.”
In another tribute, Mr. George E. recalled, “Mr. Reagan was the best symbol of
America in the last 50 years. He let his light shine on the whole world with the
positive attitude and courage needed for us and the world.”
Grassfire.org has already received more than 18,000 personal tributes to the
former President and fully expects to be overwhelmed for the next several days.
For President Reagan’s 90th birthday, Grassfire.org gathered personal messages
from more than 50,000 supporters—filling nearly 1,000 pages. The book, Ronald
Reagan: A 90th Birthday Tribute, was also delivered by Grassfire to the Reagan
Library.
Note: Additional tributes and tributes from citizens within specific regions are
available to media upon request.
